New paintings for July

Bought some new acrylic paints and being anxious to try them out decided to start on my series of race horse paintings. Here is the first on wood panel 'Bodemeister surges Ahead'.
I have many photos from our trip to the Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn this spring. Bodemeister went on to win the Arkansas Derby by 9 lengths but came in second to 'I'll have Another' at the Kentucky Derby, which killed his chances for the tripple crown. What a horse !

Just outside of Black Rock Arkansas off of Highway 63 sit these 3 beauties,  in their rusty glory. Each time I pass I can't take my eyes off of them. No for sale sign anywhere so I suppose they are Arkansas road art. Anyway, here they are, at last on canvas, 20" x 24" in acrylic. Hope you find them as appealing as I do
