All of my paintings have a purpose. They stem from 3 things :-
Hard work, inspiration and communication.
My last painting painting took hours - -perhaps 100 ? That's the work part.
More important is the inspiration. I paint things that I love, animals, people, flowers. Love is to do with liking and understanding what I'm painting. The character or nature of what I paint. With animals and people, I try to capture the 'essence' of the personality and to represent that faithfully in my work.
When you look at one of my paintings, if you connect with it in some way, and like what you see, then I have succeeded.
