The last plein aire for June, of Wahpiton Arch. It measures 8" x 10" in oils on panel. Further up the hill are several beautiful old cottages, and the grounds where the Old Wahpeton Hotel used to stand. The grounds are landscaped, and sit over Loburg Park in Hardy.

Down on the river bank

Met up with friends this past Friday, down on the banks of the Spring River. It was a beautiful sunny day, reflections bouncing off the water - great day to paint. A heron flew by several times,  but never stopped long enough to get himself into our paintings.

 Afterwards, we had lunch at the corner booth. There is a doll in there, up high on a dusty shelf thats the spitting image of my Mother. It looks down on me while I eat with a little quirk on it's face.

Thompson Park, in our little town of Hardy, in the Arkansas Ozarks.. Nice hot day - spent the morning with gallery friends painting. Quite a few people stopped by to sneak a peek, and we sent them up to our Sring River Art Gallery. This photo was taken 3 hours into our painting session.
